EATON PLAZA

The Agency worked with Fresno City Parks Department for implementation of the landscape plan for Eaton Plaza, the last remaining open space within the Fresno Downtown Civic area. The approximately 4 acre area is bounded by Fresno Street, "O" Street, Mariposa Street, and "N" Street. The Council approved the Eaton Park master plan with $500,000 of funding for the first phase consisting of a 300+/- seat amphitheater in the southwest corner at "N" and Mariposa Streets.

The first phase of the Eaton Plaza makeover was begun fall 2006. Once all five phases have been
completed, Eaton Plaza will be a fundamental example of the Redevelopment Agency’s commitment to beautify Downtown Fresno.
