Federal Courthouse

The Agency staff coordinated with project developers for the installation of off-site improvements and other project related requirements. The Agency in conjunction with the City assembled the land for this site. The approximately 383,000 square foot 9-story building has 13 courtrooms. The interior of the building is designed to accommodate an additional 5 courtrooms as future population expands within the Federal Court jurisdiction. The $127 million Federal Court House was completed in June 2005 and dedicated October 18, 2005.

As the site plan above shows, CCSI is well located next to the new Federal Courthouse and Exhibition Hall/downtown Hotel.

Civic Center Square (CCSI) was one of the early catalysts for downtown renewal. Currently this development includes several refurbished office buildings, shops and restaurants in the Galleria and Crescent Shopping Center, and these three new office complexes, all in richly landscaped settings.
